Before beginning any physical fitness or exercise program, including the GetFitTexas! program, Texas Round-Up instructs you to carefully assess your own state of health and level of physical conditioning, consider your age, consider any illnesses or injuries you are recovering from, perform some personal research on exercise, health, and fitness, and most importantly, consult your physician.
By joining the GetFitTexas! program, you acknowledge that:
- You have been informed of the need for medical approval before joining in the Texas Round-Up GetFitTexas!, and that you have read all foregoing statements on this web page;
- You are voluntarily choosing to participate in the GetFitTexas! Program, which is a 6-week training program leading up to the Texas Round-Up;
- You agree that Texas Round-Up (hereinafter collectively, "Texas Round-Up") does not make any representation whatsoever that the Texas Round-Up GetFitTexas! Program will fully prepare you to participate in a Texas Round-Up race, walk or similar event;
- You agree that every exercise program constitutes a risk to your health and life;
- You agree that any information, instruction or advice obtained from Texas Round-Up will not be used as a substitute for your physician's advice or treatment, and that Texas Round-Up has not provided you with any medical advice;
- You agree that any information, instruction or advice obtained from Texas Round-Up will be used at your own risk;
- You agree to release and discharge Texas Round-Up from any and all responsibilities or liabilities from injury arising from your participation in the Texas Round-Up and the Texas Round-Up GetFitTexas! Program.
